I have very little money or none at all for medicine after basic living expenses. How do I get help?

apply for medicaid or child health plus. If your condition is serious enough, you could apply for social security benefits.

Getting a job will help. People go to work in wheelchairs all the time. Family support, or medical assistance is always an option.

Go to the county health dept. and they will see you for free or a sliding-scale pay plan. Also, the meds. that you take now, look and see who the manufacturer is and see if they will help you. If seen some commercials on TV for Astra-Zenica Drug Co. offering help with people who can't afford their medication

Go to your county Social Services Department.

And also contact the drug manufacturer - many of them have some sort of program to provide drugs at no cost or reduced cost to the very needy - of course you will have to qualify. but contact them and ask, it certainly won't happen if you don't ask.
