Video replay definitely needs to be a part of 2010, not for every little incident but merely for 'did the ball cross the line'. The stakes are so huge in football nowdays that it is vital to make the right decisions, refs are only human, i dont think the standard has dropped its just that the pressures on them have become too great. It would literally take seconds to decide whether the ball had crossed the line and how often is the decision going to have to be made, not very often. Technology is there, let it be used.

No and it should not be. Soccer is a flowing game that should not be interupted with replay reviews. The only addition for 2010 will be a chip in the ball to tell if it fully crosses the line. {Would have been helpful to France the other night.}
The only thing replay should be used for is to determine after the fact the quality of the refereeing. So guys like the one in the USA-Italy match can be sent home.

it would be good idea but who will decide when to use the instant replay.and even after the replay, is it the referee agn to decide or will there be an external decision. will it be used for only goal decisions or when there is a foul ? in fact it will jst increase the length of the game and lower the tempo of a game since they have to stop and watch the replay. it will also render the job of the referees not credible. i think it should not be used.

Yes As more an more referees are giving yellow and red cards for no givin reason this should be a strongly considered option in 2010

Personally I am not a big video replay fan and prefer better refs - but as the France game shows - they can't see it all. I swear with each sport adopting some form of replay - the quality of refs get worse. NBA, NHL, NFL...

Yes! Definitely! The only problem there might be was if this took up too much time. But I think it will make decisions much fairer and can help the ref. in a big way.

Please no. The game will be stopped very often and games will last endlessly. It will be more honest maybe but I doubt whether it will add to the pleasure of the game.
Besides what would we talk about next day without controversial refereeing decisions?? Vamos Holanda!

No, but if they do they will have to change the way they keep time. Just imaging how much stoppage time they going to have to add on just because some one argues that he was not offside. the game will turn into who knows what.

It might be a good idea, don't think it'll be used that often but there have been one or two times where it would have come in handy.
