The Federal Reserve is a government agency. It is NOT a private corporation and DOES NOT have "filthy rich owners".

The Federal Reserve Banking System in fact is a private corporation. Stan N needs to check his facts. So does Dad. The Federal Reserve can be found in the Yellow pages next to or very near to Federal Express. It also is a corporation although not private. The answer to the question is that our congress is drunk on the money they can extract from the Federal Reserve without having to ask for higher taxes.
