Elton John is one of the most talented people in the world. He has overcome so much and is so very lucky to be alive. Just sit in a room and listen to his music with nothing else going on, and you can be there with him. He makes everything that seems to be going wrong in your life go away (at least for a little while). He is truly an elusive drug! He has been around for decades, going through the changing music styles and he continues all the while to be on the top of the charts. He has written music for incredible broadway shows, movies, & children's movies. He is my all time favorite performer!

He wrote "Someone Saved my Life Tonight" about a friend that talked him out of marrying a woman. He wanted to marry her because she had a hard and abusive life, but deep down he knew that those were the wrong reasons because he didn't really love her.

He likes to collect pipes.
Though I don't know if he still likes to collect them anymore.
He was giving a concert in Colorado (years ago) and someone threw a pipe onstage for him, accidentally hit him in the head, knocking him out.
