The name of this condition is melasma.
It is very common in people with darker skin tones such as olive, tan, etc. Sun exposure and hormones can cause these annoying dark patches. There are several over-the-counter bleaching creams available. If the darkened areas are really affecting the way a person feels about their appearance, a consultation with a doctor may be in order. There are stronger creams available by prescription, as well as laser light therapies for more prominent cases.

this is called "butterfly affect" It's caused by too much hormones. There isn't much you can do, but you can always use a sunscreen ALWAYS because if you don't THEY GET DARKER! There are products out there that bleach these spots, but I've tried them all and they really don't work like you would want them too. The best so far is oil of olays 7signs of aging cream. It works on pimples too LOL.

It is a normal symptom of pregnancy. After the birth of your baby everything will be as usual (i.e. as it was before pregnancy). So, just relax and enjoy being in your particular situation.
