I learned this from one of George Clooney's travels so take what I say with a grain of salt, I might not be as accurate.

I know that back when slaves were being sold, black people were also sold to Muslims. It wasn't just America. When black Muslims had progressed where they were sold they were considered somewhat unworthy because they weren't "royal descents" with strait hair and slightly fair skin.

George Clooney had discovered this and it was shown on Oprah. I believe the "royals" are trying to kill them but I am unsure.

There's prejudice everywhere. I spent 19 years in the Kingdom, and while there are a good number of Saudis who are "color-blind", there are also a good number who "wouldn't let their daughter marry a black (as in skin color) Muslim, even if he was a Saudi.
But I never saw any schools, hotels saloons(???????? - you're kidding, right? If you mean saloon as in bar there are NO legal alcohol-type bars there) or burial ground that were closed to blacks.

The Saudis are Wahabi [ a sect of Islam ]. Islam is not just a religion, but also social and political. It permeates society for the Muslim and conditions all his life. Therefore, all these as well as ethnicity would form the basis for discrimination in any Islamic country. Separatist religions such as Islam, The Watchtower Society [Jehovah's Witnesses] and others have traditionally excluded "blacks" until only recently. [Research the historical paths of each]. Under Islam anything other than Islam is unacceptable to the Mohammadan.
Failure of westerners to recognise the whopping cultural, ethnic and philosophical differences between eastern [whether Asian, African or Arabian for example] and western thought and practice has caused a great deal of difficulty and misunderstanding between us. The future doesn't look very promising, either, unless we are prepared to do more than superficially gloss over the distinctions. Until the west learns that the rest of the world doesn't think as we do and mean what we understand from the sratightforward use of language, I fear we are destined to continue to be decieved and hated. Decieved - because much of the world thinks it is ok to promise what you think the one with whom you are dealing wants to hear, while palnning to do whatever it takes to overthrow him. Hated - because they think we are playing by their rules, then we do what we say and they think "that is not fair".
What passes for "racism" is more than likely ethnicism. There is only one race - the human race. We are all the same color - just varying shades.
In conclusion - based on testimony of those who have spent any time at all in SA - the Saudi don't think much of anyone who is not Saudi.
