which movies do u prefer ? prob only asian ppl can answer this coz i'm sure english people dont really understand hindi. isn't bollywood kinda racsist coz they only have fair looking actors ?

I don't watch Hindi even though I'm Asian. Jackie Chan is popular in some Hollywood movies. He appear in Rush Hour movies with his partner Chris Tucket. On the other hand, I don't know what is Aishwarya Rai's movie in Hollywood. Maybe only 2 so far? Alright, I would rate 2/10 for producing Bollywood movies. Hollywood like Jackie Chan's movies are definitely better IMO.

Bollywood puts out twice the amount of films Hollywood puts out in a year. I have seen some Bollywood films and thought they were just as good as Hollywood films. A good Bollywood film is Monsoon Wedding. Yes it is a romantic film, but it is still good if you are not into them.

I have seen only a few Indian movies, frankly, not very impressed, although most of them are action flicks, but almost all of them look like big screen version of comic books, it's very usual to see a normal guy to jump the height of a four floor building and there are always constant dancing, maybe it's a cultural things, but I'm here to watch a movie, if I want to watch dancing, I would go to Broadway, used to think Hollywood movies are unrealistic, after watching Hollywood, it's very enjoyable and refreshing to see characters walk like normal people, run like normal people.

I think I would choose hollywood and you are definitely right about people not understanding hindi.and for the one who is asking why it is called bollywood , I think it was named after the bolly dancing .
