The Arthur H. and Virginia R. Black
Chemistry Merit Scholarship
Selection of the scholarship recipient will be made by the Chemistry Awards Committee. The student
must be a Chemistry Major pursuing the B.S. degree in preparation for a career as a professional
chemist and must currently be a Sophomore or Junior with a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 overall and 3.50
in Chemistry. This scholarship covers instructional fees for two semesters (Fall, Spring) of the
academic year. The amount of the award is limited to the annual income of the fund. A junior
recipient may reapply for the senior year.
