Not at all! A woman can actually ovulate at any time (although it's more likely to occur mid cycle - or around 2 weeks after the first day of her period.) If you TRULY want to prevent pregnancy, condoms along with some type of spermicide will decrease the chances of pregnancy significantly. Other than that, she would need to consistently use any of the numerous types of birth control available to women. Free clinics will also give condoms and some types of birth control for FREE. Good luck..

Hi,
if you and your girlfriend normally have sex without a condom and neither have STD's, then you will be safe from STD's without a condom during her period.
it is NOT guarunteed that you will be safe from pregnancy without a condom then, since some women have been known to concieve during pregnancy.
if she has an IUD, the chances are VERY slim to none that she would concieve. I consider these to be Barbaric when it comes to the health of the uterus, though!
Also a female condom could be useful here, but the material they make them out of is more susceptible to breakage than latex, unless they are now making them from latex.
there is a foam that can be used without a condom to prevent pregnancy (used to come in a pink and white box?) as well as a small square of very concentrated contraceptive in the form of film from France (comes in a small grey and white box)....they are safer due to their stength, but WITH a latex
condom is always safer.
she could always be fitted for a diaphragm, as well, at Family Planning, her Gyno, or Planned Parenthood.
Energetically speaking, this is a time when women's energy systems are going through immense changes. One of them is a cleansing effect where stagnant energies are being thrown off (as well as physical waste materials)....it may not matter to you, but may not be particularly what you might want to "ingest" into your own system.
i wish you health, safety and a great love life!
sincerely,
Night Spirit!

Having sex without a condom at ANY time is NOT safe. Just because she is having her period does not mean you cant get an STD. As far as getting pregnant, if she is on a short cycle, she could ovulate while she is having her period. Unlikely, but definitely possible. ALWAYS USE PROTECTION!!

Yes it's safe. You can have sex without a condon for 7 days from the day your period stops or if you know exactly when you are starting your period 7 days before the starting date as well.

Nope! There's never a "safe" time to have sex without a condom. Not only pregnancy, but do you realize how many std's there are out there?! C'mon!
