I Have The New Vista beta and i Lag quite alot why?

Question

I should not be lagging i have 512mb DDR27000 a Sempron 3100+ @ 2000mhz

the minimum requirement says 256mb on a 32bit system, 1gb is the reccomended

Was running Xp And Got Bored Using it since it Came out years ago lol and where can i find this utility?

im running an 80 Gb 7200 rpm

Two problem areas to consider:

1. Vista is a memory hog. Estimates put it at 2 -3 times more memory intensive than XP

2. It's still in Beta testing so there are still a lot of internal problems that need to be worked out.

Let me first recommend not using the Vista beta.

1 GB is the minimum recommended amount of RAM.

However, I would bet if you go to the performance area of the System properties, the Advanced tab - and turn off most if not all of the visual effects - then you will find it runs much smoother, though doesn't look quite as pretty.

You're also going to want a kickbutt video card if you're using Vista, because it will push it to the max.

vista have some feature like Virtual File System.. its indexing your files so they easy to found..

see your hard disk light whan lagging, is it blinking alot?

if yes try to turn of this feature..

but i think your reuirement is too minimum for vista..
better use XP..

or may be your hard disk speed to slow?
