Very Simple.. If you're using a windows XP OS you click on "Start"
and select "Printers and Faxes" then you click on "add a printer"
Select the location of your printer and and your printer type.
Windows have a list of printers driver installed with it. If you cant find the driver there you can download it online by going to the printer's manufacturer website. for more info you can visit microsoft website. http://www.microsoft.com

Some printers like Epson's dont need a additional driver for their installation..windows have inbuilt driver of them.

But some like HP required driver disc..and they wont work until you install their driver

Download the driver from the internet, you can't install the printer and make it work properly without.
