Living in Australia, I can tell you it does have a very nice climate, you are generally near beaches at most major institutions, and there are a lot of exchange programmes you may be able to participate in, check out some of the university websites.
Some of the universities are atually rated very highly in the world and provide quality education, and the social life is pretty good, most people are willing and wanting to make friends, especially if you are living on campus.
I can't compare to the UK, never having studied there, but i suppose both have their pluses and minuses, Australia is reasonably cheap once you get here (your exchange rate favours you!!), UK isnt quite as cheap, but check out websites seeing what the unis have to offer!
Good luck!

Hi :-)))

The answer is simple!! The UK!!

You are Polish..and so as a European Union citizen you do not have to pay any fees...for all English language studies at a college of Further Education. You also have no restrictions on work as well...

Also London is a muuuuuuuuuuch cooler place than anywhere in Australia. (I don't mean to offend any Australians by this answer!) Why do you think so many Aussies come to live here.

As a Muslim..there are so many more Muslim facilities than in Australia. And if I was to be honest..less racism too.
And there are loads of Poles in London too. So I think you will feel at home either way :-))

And I think British English is nicer than Australian. It is more useful for Europeans ,I'm sure!

I lived in UK and I think its over rated but nonetheless its worth the experience. You may like. If you only want to study english and then go home after a year I think both Australia and England are good for your purpose. But for career wise you may consider England before Australia.

Hi there. If you plan to return to work in Europe, I think the UK would be better for you. In addition to improving your language skills you will be assimilating the culture of another EC member, making friends you can meet again and who can visit you. If you are not desperate to be in London, perhaps somewhere like Canterbury, Bath, Winchester or Oxford would be good. You can always tour Australia another time. have fun!
