I hear from my friends during school year but I never do in the summer.

Maybe they are just too busy or they don't want to remember the days of school by talking to school mates..
You can try making the effort of calling them and befriending them during the holidays..
I think people can be mean because they have no belief in god or they don't have any morals.. it could be a number of things..
Don't let it get to you and in the future pick your Friends.. like the ones you feel comfortable around..

cuz most of the time people are to busy during the summer time with family vacations and working its OK it don't mean that they don't like you they are just busy

Just wait till you graduate and you won't see any of them until the twenty year reunion...
It's only your very very close friends that will stay in touch with you...

i belive that some people thought that they are better off, more high class, more richer, more powerful, and more influence.
but the sad thing is that they only be mean to those who they feel they can 'bully'.
