Reddish hair (also found in the handsome king Edward IV and his grandson Henry VIII - and Elizabeth I), and a hot temper. I'll come back with some sources...
The Plantagenets seemed to be, in general, either tall (Richard the Lionheart was well over six feet; Edward IV, 6'4"), or of medium height and thick-set. Energetic and prone to fits of violent temper at times and to varying degrees, they could also display excessive emotional reactions, as Richard II did when his beloved wife died. Both Edward IV and his grandson, Henry VIII, had the reddish-gold hair, started life as strong, tall, handsome young men and then succumbed to gluttony in later life. Both Edward I (tall and thin with very long legs: "Longshanks") and his son Edward II, tall, strong and attractive, had drooping eyelids. Richard II was also attractive, with a round face. They also seemed to have a majestic air about them, well suited to the office of king.
In general, an energetic, strong, good-looking and temperamental dynasty!
