If a lad sleeps with loadsa girls then he's classed as a hero or a pimp or whatever right? But if a girl sleeps with loadsa lads then why is she classed as cheap or a slag

Double standards, its been going on for years, though I think times are changing.

I know it the way the world is women classed as slappers if they sleep around and men are given a pat on the back everytime. Its double standards and its not only men who think this other women are the same they are the first to point the finger. I done know why it is like this but dont think it will ever change

I beg to differ on this classification as in:
Ever heard when the scientists are fighting something in this life like a disease whose cure they cannot really structure; the disease will be classified as "a national disaster" or be branded another name. Just because they can't get a solution makes them give it a name! Human beings have this tendency of not wanting to accept failure or defeat. Naturally, the human brain was not created to fail..as such when confronted with a thing that suggest failure, all manner of things will be said about it! If for example a boss gets late for work, they say he was not late but was just held up!Oops!! Similarly, when a man cannot hold on till he gets married to have sex, the control having been broken, he is considered a hero!!but the more ladies he sleeps with the worse he gets!!If you have a heart inclined towards the fear of God, you will find that he who tames his/her tongue is better than he who conquers ten cities!!(that's baffling statistics) Likewise he who controls his/her passion or emotional tension pulling towards demeaning human dignity, is indeed the HERO/HEROINE!!
Men have an ego for which they can go to any length to protect(i.e. for most of them)as such when they have failed to tame their sexual drive tending to lust, promiscuity and self gratification;they "bull-doze" humanity into thinking them heroes
If a lady is carried in the drag-net, then she is considered slag because she has demoted herself to a very poor value!!

It's because as a girl, you are expected to have more brains than a man! When a man acts like that he is just as much of a slag but because men are not as intelligent as women, society just isn't as shocked by it. It's a bit like kids can get away with things than adults can't because they are expected to know better.

look on all the web sites you can find with pics like myspace and the girls so freely advertising their body's.
take a ride down town and see who's selling sex.
look at all the porn on the Internet roughly 90% are all women.
turn on your TV late at night and watch all the stupid phone talk commercial with girls asking guys to talk to them for money.
no one is forcing them to do this. maybe if women is the American society didn't try be sluts and scanks, maybe they wouldn't be called it. just a thought.
and of course. it is common sens to realize if guys involve themselves in these activities they would be hoes too.
i think your real issue is that you dint think its fare what others think about you. guess what? fagettabout it!! if that's what they think then they can go **** themselves. it still doesn't change the fact about the guy your having problems with.

It's the old double standard. It's not fair and it is slowly changing.
People are starting to wake up to the fact that women like to have sex as well as men.

it is because girls are considered 2 have a bit more self respect then boys but if u think about it if men have always bin sleepin around with lots of different girls then havent girls as well always bin a bit promiscuous
