Paypal is safe. If you buy via eBay and goods are not up to scratch, you can raise a dispute and get it resolved because Paypal transactions are covered by a guarantee. The only things you need to watch out for are spam (phishing) emails - fake emails asking you to verify your account, and emails asking you to verify who you are. Any such emails are FAKE - 100% - so delete them immediately. If Paypal wish to get in touch with you, they will either phone you or they will send an email addressed to you by the name you have the Paypal account in. Any email that does not do this (no matter how realistic they seem) is FAKE!!!
The other thing you should watch out for - before entering your email address and password - is to make sure you are on the Paypal site. Sounds easy but internet fraudsters are getting so sophisticated... Ensure the address area shows an address beginning 'httpS://' The 'S' is essential, because this means 'secure'. Also ensure there is a padlock on the bottom of your browser. Check out the rest of the browser address before you type in any info.

Hi, I have found Pay Pal to be safe for transactions. I use it a lot while trading on an on and off basis through eBay and have had no problems. Even a refund that I requested went through quickly and smoothly.
I do change my password every few months though.
Best wishes,
Sandie

I have always found PayPal itself to be very safe.
The problem is there are a lot of really good looking Phisher e-mails that end up coming to you that look exactly like something PayPal would send, so beware of those! I never use a link in an e-mail even if I am sure it is from PayPal (there is no legitimate problem that can't be dealt with by closing the e-mail and logging on to PayPal manually) and PayPal will NEVER ask for info from you within the text of a message from them.

Nah mate you won't save anything because you have to pay the same amount as the item or service would normally cost you...
It is SAFE and secure however!

Yes, I think so. As long as you keep your password safe.
Makes buying things a lot easier - a little too easy perhaps.
