If it's in my bedroom, or in the bath or in some place I need to be (like on my clothes or something) I catch it in a glass and put it outside.
If it's not in my way, I generally leave them. We have a spider that lives in the corner of our living room (one of those black ones with the big bodies) and we decided to call it Fred - it's perfectly happy there so we don't disturb it.
I don't like spiders (i'm actually really aracnaphobic) but it's not my right to take their life. I killed one once when I was a lot younger and I felt bad for weeks. Now I accept that they have just as much right to live as I do, and if they're really bothering me then I just set them out in the garden, otherwise I leave them be.

Difficult question. I've tried inviting them to stay for a few beers and a session on the X-box, but they seem to have problems popping the ring-pull on even the cheapest of beer... and they're crap on "Halo"...
-KILL IT. Well, yeah, you could do. Why? Unless it's one of the 8 that we are all meant to swallow in a lifetime(or is it annually?). I love that statistic. HOW DO THEY KNOW???
-LEAVE IT. Why not? It ain't gonna harm you. Unless it's Shelob. Revert to plan A. (CAVEAT- If you should encounter Shelob, a) ring the little bell by your bed and b) do what the nurse tells you.)
-SET IT FREE OUTSIDE. Okay. If you find a spider in your house, odds-on it's a house spider. House spiders are thus called because they are found in houses. If you set one "free" outside, it will probably run around in a confused fashion, until it gets back into the house. If you found a spider outside, would you set it free in your shed?
Hope that clarifies matters. The worst that can happen is that you will swallow it, and it will wriggle and jiggle and tickle inside ya.
Having said that, they're quite high in protein.

I wanna kill it - but instead i flap around for about 15 mins, before gingerly trapping it in a shot glass, using the clever paper-glass technique, then i free the creepy little beggar. We've no right to go around extinguishing inncoent lives, and 4 God's sake - Look at the size of you compared to a spider - even a taranchula - it's miniscule - as 4 the poisoiness ones - if you're bitten - it's probobly Karma catching up wit u 4 all the bug murders you've commited!

I am scared of Spiders, so my husband removes them most times, he will not kill one and puts them outside as far way from the house to make me feel comfortable that they won't crawl back in!
I've now got a "Spider Catcher" which allows me to catch them myself if I have to, although it is still a " grit your teeth and pray" situation if I have to do it.Over the years I've devised all sorts of ways to catch them, and have even taped a room shut with a spider inside until someone came to kill it.

I used to catch them and set them free outside, because I felt bad for killing them. Then, my girlfriend moved in. Now, whenever she sees a spider, she screams and cries and makes me kill it and flush it down the toilet. She's turned me into a monster :(

Run away screaming then beg someone to catch it and put it outside.
Then usually the spider finds its way back in within a couple of hours and the whole thing is repeated.

I leave it 'cos I hate daddy longlegs and spiders eat them!
But my husband hates them! So, if he sees one, he gets me to catch it and let it go outside.
Years ago, we had a 'William' who lived under the TV. He used to come out and lie in front of the fire in the winter! He was huge - about the size of my hand! My husband thought he was quite cute, even though he doesn't like them.
Oh, and it's fun watching them spinning webs - we went for a meal at a restaurant and sat outside. We hardly spoke 'cos it was so fascinating watching them!
Spiders are incredible creatures!

Well up until Sept. last yr. I`d kind of ignore the spiders since they were always busy trapping other insects that I hate, but one night as I sat on my sofa, my big right toe started itching and stinging, I scratched it and rubbed it to no avail, the next day it was a mess swollen, very painful. a few days later I could not walk on that foot,so I took a mirrow to look under neath the toe it was filled with green fluid ,I wanted to burst it to let it drain but my neighbor said, No! don`t burst it, because you could get that flesh eating disease. my foot began to swell up to my ankle, so I prayed and sterilized a needle and opened it to drain, then I poured peroxide in it and soaked it in vinegar, while at work the next day I had a nurse take my tempt. it was 226 over118, ,she insisted that I go to Emergency because she suspected a brown recluse spider had bitten me, well that is exactly what had bitten me.It cost approx $1,300.00 two trips to the emergency room in one day to get shots and pills. It left a large crater in my toe, which is closed now, but it still itches today and it`s been almost a yr. since I was bitten by the deadly brn reclu. spider. So NEED I tell you what I Do to every spider I see? better them than me.

Run! I shout for the nearest person to me and they can do with it whatever they like as long as they get it away from me.
If I am in the house on my own, then I take myself to another room and won't go in the 'spider room' till it's gone. God help me if it's the bathroom.
I don't like spiders, can you tell!!

We leave him if he is in his web,but if he has fallen down,
we pick him up on a piece of paper and throw him out live.
We do not kill.
No spider has harmed us so far.
