I can't answer yet as to whether or not this year's World Cup will be special because it all hinges on the final outcome. I am of course cheering for England, all the way!
I'm mostly sanguine with the results so far, though I was very disappointed to see England allow bloody Sweden to tie up their match this evening. The Three Lions will have to do better than that from here on out or risk facing elimination.
I expect England to defeat Ecuador in the Round of 16 and then to face Germany (who will doubtless beat Sweden). That quarterfinal match may prove to be the best and most hotly contested of the lot. I hope England emerges victorious and ultimately wins it all... though getting past your Brazilian squad will prove an extraordinarily difficult task, Moon.

This year's world cup has produce some surprises and I expect to see more and more surprises. Who would have thought Ghana can beat Czech but they shock us all with a very good game and Italy are expected to beat the USA, only manage a draw.
Ecuador reach the last 16 for the first time.
I'm cheering for Brazil as always.
