The days before the Great Law Of Gravity are highly documented in films such as Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, The House of Flying Daggers, etc. I think they had to pass the law because people just couldn't stand these swordsman flying through trees wherever they went.

The little know law of staying on the earth. This law was passed by the first human - his name was Paul. Very few people know of Paul because he floated off into space, but when floating away he thought of the Law of Staying on the Earth, and he voted for it. Since he was the only one around the law passed unanimously. Unfortunately it passed to late to save Paul.

What is gravity? What is experience? Are you really here?
Thomas Aquanis once proposed that there was an infinitely powerful decieving demon. He surmised that it was logically possible that this demon was giving you all the sensory input information that you know about the world. This demon is so powerful, that the information given is overwhelmingly consistent to a point of utter knowledge.
But Aquanis asked another question. Can this demon be so powerful that he can trick me into thinking I exist, when I do not?
Aquanis says no, and consequently gave the famous quote, 'Cogito Ergo Sum'
Literally - Thought therefore existence, or "I think, thereofre I am."
So let me ask you; does gravity really exist, or is this demon just playing tricks on you?

Before the law was passed, there was just the "Strong Recommendation For Gravity", which kept most of the level-headed people firmly rooted to the ground. A few daring folk decided to go for it and floated away, but most experts believe they were probably eaten by space-monsters.

And let me guess, you also want to know how they stay on the ground the other side of the world, where everything is upside down? Or you wonder whether the law of gravity just works backwards there?

It has been suggested that the laws of nature are more akin to habits which have built up over time. Check out Rupert Sheldrake on formative causation, morphogenetic fields and morphic resonance.

Thankfully this law was not the one passed by mankind but by one who made us all. This law was first passed and then earth was made, and then after billion of years we were put on it.
