An infatigueable space craft flies off perpendicularly in such a way as not to collide with the sun or a plannet. How far does it go? [ie what is the extent of space.

This question has been asked before, hasnt it? Sounds familiar.

Space is never ending, you can leave the Milky Way and you will enter another galaxy, depending on where ure exit point is.

Lets see....by my calculations based on modern quantum mechanics as compared to the latest universe expansion theories. Also taking into account gravitational shift due to planets, stars, black holes and dark matter...I predict it will go until....

Thursday the 27th at 4:47 pm when it hits the side of the jar that the universe is contained in. ;)

Here's a thought... it's pretty far because the light from the "big bang" hasn't reached the extent of space and won't.

To the temporal end of the world. Even traveling at light speed, the universe would collapse around it before it has traveled even half the distance.
