You can only get free healthcare in the European Union countries. You need to get a European Health Insurance Card (EHIC Card). Get one free from the local health authority (I'd ask at your GP) or apply at the Post Office (charge of £2).

If you are travelling in the EU you need to take an E111 card (from the Post Office), which takes a few weeks to arrive, so do it in advance - that means the NHS would be paying if you needed medical attention. If you are going outside the EU then you need good travel insurance that includes medical cover.

That depends, are you going on holiday? If your going to live abroad then the NHS wont pay for you medical care.

If your just going on holiday you need European Health Insurence Card (if your holidaying in Europe, if not you will have to take out Travle insurence which should cover you) which you can get online from www.nhs.uk

Get your medical treatment surgery in India.Surgery of all types is very cheap in India. There is one company that is very famous in India that arranges all surgery for foreigners in India. They are called the Forerunners Healthcare.I read a lot about them in the Newspapers and about their patient stories.I have also read that they arrange financing for international patients as cosmetic surgery is not covered by insurance or by the stinking NHS.

They also have photos pasted of their International patients. You can checkout their website. The cost savings are incredible. As a doctor i personally believe that your surgery can be easily handled in India as the quality of healthcare available here is simply best in the world. The surgeons are USA/UK trained and facilities are 5 star .

My cousin got her cosmetic surgery done there and she is more than very happy with the results.sHe is all praise for this forerunners healthcare company. She paid just 30% of the cost what she was quoted in USA and it was like a wonderful vacation for her. .hope this helps.I think she paid only 5000 pounds for the tummy tuck and liposuction surgery for which she was quoted 12300 GBP in UK
