The second that they have dug they have a hole so 1/2 a hole will not exist. Besides if you have four men then they will either head off to the golf course, or even faster just to a local pub to talk about anything besides the 1/2 a hole that they didn't want to dig in the first place.

Simple, the answer is two days. If it takes 1 day for 2 men to dig half of a hole, then it should take 2 days for 4 men to do the same thing. Here's the ratio for representation: 1 day : 2 men= 2 days: 4 men.

4 men 2 days to dig an entire is the comparable as asserting it is going to take 2 men 4 days to dig an entire. So if it takes 2 men 4 days to dig an entire this means that it will take 2 men 2 days to dig a million/2 an entire. Your answer is two days.

If two men can dig a hole in 2 days, therefore each one them gave 1/2 part of of the work which means one man can dig that hole for 4 days...
If they will only dig half of the hole, one man can dig it in 2 days.
then if there are four men who will dig that certain hole, then just divide it by four so four men can do that job in just half day.

First of all, I've never heard of half a hole. Once you dig, its a hole.
If your talking about half the size of the first hole, then it should take 4 men 12 hours to dig.

we have been told it takes 96 hours to dig the hole.48+48=96 hours lets assume the half hole is half of the 1st hole so it should take half the time, 48hours now you have 4 men helping so divide 48 by 4 and your half hole should be dug in 12hours. hope you got that.
