When I was in my 20's I sold everything I owned and moved to Fla to care for my grandmother. She had Alzheimer's and I kept her in her own home until she passed 3 years later.

There was a mallard duck, when i went down to my favorite fishing spot, who had gotten en-snarled in yards and yards of fishing line that some careless fool had left there.
I talked softly to the duck as I approached her. When I gained her confidence, and she let me get close enough, I cut through several thicknesses of line. Finally she was free. She flew of in a hurry.
About a half an hour later here she come, swimming by with several ducklings in tow, making several quacking sounds. She came back several times that day with her little family, like she was saying thank you.
I think that was the kindest thing I ever did.

Let a bug live when I wanted to step on it. Nobody was watching. It made me feel good.
In elementary school, I stood up to bullies who tormented my overweight friend.
Purchased a gift card for groceries and donated it anonymously to a woman with 4 children whose husband/father had abandoned the family. She didn't know how she was going to make ends meet that month.

A woman came to my door begging for food for her family. She was a grandmother with a single daughter, and neither of them had a job.
I invited her into my apartment for a cold drink, gave her $50, and gave her a bag of packaged food.
I will never forget how she started crying from the shame of having to beg, and how she hugged me in thanks.
BTW: What "usha s" did is VERY hard to do. I wish I had that strength.
