I don't mean to say material things are better than love or anything... the dearest possessions are always the people around you.

As you are aware from your question, obviously my husband, children and family are the things I treasure the most - that should be taken as read!

However, my most prized possessions are all jewellery.

My engagement and wedding rings.

A necklace my husband bought me in Paris when I took him there for a surprise weekend holiday

A necklace that a friend gave me for doing such a good job helping him with his thesis

These items are irreplaceable and I never take them off!
However, all of them are just possessions. I would be heartbroken to lose them, but I would survive. It is a totally different thing when talking about family!

I have always believed that your memories go with you forever, and should be the ônly thing you need to remind you of the past, but since losing close family, I have come to realise that it is also nice to have material possessions that have a special link to them. I wear my Grandmothers engagement ring, but I think my most sentimental possession is a small panda teddy bear that my granddad brought to the hospital the day I was born, which I obviously have no memory of! It is so old and tatty, but could never be replaced.
I also have my great grandmothers bun clip which is over 100 years old-I love to embrace my past and family history. It is so personal.

Well, for a person without romance in my life, I would say the dearest thing I own is my collection of music CDs, and if I could choose a second I would say my crystal-clear mini stereo.

Ugh tough choice!

Many people would say my camera, however that can be replace. So probably a disney blanket that my grandma got for me when I born and snow globe that my grandma got for me for xmas right before she pass away. To this day it's very hard for me to look at or touch them because it usually make me cry on the spot. I usually take it out when I need some comforting.

My bible! My willy! My soul! My money!

Ok, that's that over with. To be honest, it would need to be my Takemine guitar, though I'm not really that attached to it. If there is hope for humanity, a lot of musical instruments, and very few cars, will be mentioned here.
