For niborio: This is not chat room, if you want you may answer my question. I don't like people with two faces, beside them nacionality. I already have Greek friends, most of them are married women with kids, I respect them opinion and they respect my.

Hello,a very good question dear. As you know Macedonia was a part of ex-Yugoslavia and it was claimed that the majority of population are Serbs,so it seemed natural the suffixes of the surnames to be "converted" by the Serb way,that is -ic,as,os,etc.Another controversial issue is that there are pretences that Macedonia has to be part of Greece,which is ridiculous.Today's independant Macedonian people must decide if they want to change the suffixes of their names.You are right about Pirin Macedonia,which actually was in the boundaries of Bulgaria,that they end in-ev,ov(for male) and -eva,ova(for female).The issue is both historical and political..Contact me if you want..Good luck!!

Apsolutno se soglasuvam so tebe rous, no toa veke preoga vo kategorijata na licna opredelba i treba vreme i nacin toa da se kapitalizira od strana na nasiot narod. Toa sto go kazuvas e slucaj so Ohridskiot region - Naum Burnaz, Stefan Patce i sl. Ima logika , kako sto e i vo slucajot so Gjorgji Vojteh, vekovi nanazad. Mislam deka vo denesnava sostojba e storeno isklucivo pradi distinkcija od nasata sharmantna okolina. I ne go apostrofiraj pederov vo violetovo, na dezurstvo e postojano so copy-paste.
Hello dear ragzeusovski, you have not to do anything at this question, why are you here? No one asked your help, you are not competent about this, can't you see it?

Rous Macedonian surnames are the same with Greek since Macedonia is in Greece! You mean Makedonijian surnames? Aren't Slavic as they suppose to be?
Do not confuse real Macedonia in Greece which is the birth place of Alexander the great with a small state that emerged from Yugoslavia. That small state is called Republic of Makedonija (its own name!!) or Fyrom (Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia) (the international name) or Slav Macedonia (as all the neighbors’ states called it)! ). The confusion has started a few years ago because that small state started to use the name “Republic of Macedonia” causing a great confusion with real Macedonia in Greece.
Here is what the first President of Slav Macedonia, Kiro Gligorov said: “We are Slavs who came to this area in the sixth century. We are not descendants of the ancient Macedonians" (Foreign Information Service Daily Report, Eastern Europe, February 26, 1992, p. 35).
Also, Mr Gligorov declared: "We are Macedonians but we are Slav Macedonians. That's who we are! We have no connection to Alexander the Greek and his Macedonia… Our ancestors came here in the 5th and 6th century" (Toronto Star, March 15, 1992). }
Dear Annodominidis, do you want to ask and answer you questions yourself?
