1st day is Monday and the last day is Wednesday
procedure:
for the maximum amount of Tuesdays in a month, Tuesday would have to be as close to the beginning of the month as possible, being that the first day isn't Tuesday the second day must be Tues. making the first day Monday. then just add 30 days to to that and you get the last day of the month - Wednesday

If a month has 5 of a day in it, then there are only 2 possibilities of theno. of days of that month: 30 or 31. Also, for a 30-day month, the first and last 2 days are the same, and for a 31-day month, the first and last 3 days are also the same, but the first and last day of the month are not both tuesday, so it is a 31-day month.
The 2nd and 2nd-to-the-last days are both tuesday, so the first day is monday and the last day is a wednesday:

If there are 5 tuesdays in a month, this month has 31 days. If you divide 31 by 7 (which is the seven days of a week) you'll get 7.75 which means there are .75 or 3 days that are 5 in that month. So you can chose 2 days other than Tuesday. If Tuesday is not the first day, it should be Monday...
anyway, no need to calculate... the last day is Wednesday...

wednesday is th elast day of the month, if there are 5 tuesdays in a month and 1st day and last day of that month is not a tuesday.
If you want the procedure, well double click the bottom right hand side of the monitor, if you are using MS-Windows, there you will get the calender and then if you search for the monhts with 5 tuesdays, you will get the answer, as for this 2006 year its May. Wednesday if the month has 31 days cause if it has 5 Tuesdays then the 2ND must be a Tuesday and after 4 weeks it makes 30th the last Tuesday and since it's not the last day of the month then it must be the 31st

The month has 5 tuesdays. 4 weeks plus one day=29days. But the first and the last days are not tuesdays. So two more days. 31 days in the month. 1st day is Monday, 2nd is tuesday. Go on adding 7 days to get next tuesday. So, 9, 16, 23, 30 dates fall on tuesdays. 31st day is Wednesday.

The last day is a wednesday. Only 3 days can have 5 weeks in a 31-days month. Since Tuesday is not 1st, it means it wont be 8th, 15th, 22nd, and 29th. Since it is not the last day, it means it can't be the 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, and 31st. For Tuesday to have 5 weeks, and not be first or last days, then tuesday must be 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th. Wednesday is the 31st (last day of the month). A 30-day month would not satisfy your condition(meaning in a 30-day month, Tuesday would have to be either first day or last day).
The answer is Wednesday.

Can only be that Tuesday falls on the 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, and 30th. So it must be any month with 31 days in it. If the 30th is a Tuesday (see above) the last day of the month must be Wednesday.

if tuesday is not the first one then let it be second then the first day is monday then there would be minimum of 31 days so that we have five tuesdays so the second last day ie. day 30 falls tuesday and the last day is wednesday.Thus
Total days 31
day 1 - Monday
day 2 - Tuesday
day 30 - Tuesday
day 31 - Wednesday

Monday and Wednesday:
1 month, max 31 days
one week- 7 days (assuming that there are 5 complete weeks- which also gives 5 tuesdays)
7*5 = 35
35-31 = 4 days
calendar = sun, mon, tues, wed, thurs, fri, sat
discard any 4 days that leaves a sequenced order of 31 days
discarded= sun, thurs, fri & sat.
