I'm 21 yrs old now(going to), and i have a bf of 22. I heard of ppl saying that it is better to have a child before 30, otherwise the "quantity" of the child is not that good. I dun really understand, but i know that after 30 it is more risky to be pregnant. i think, for gals, the best age of getting married is27; For guy, 29. Any opinion on this?

U know, living in S'pore is quite expensive. U earn more and spend more also.. So we are thinking of getting a normal 3-room flat when just get married..

honestly, nobody should hang on to the urban legend that there is a best age to marry guideline
best is always subjective and we're all different...coming from different places with different needs...
so best age to marry is when you've found the one you can't live without for the rest of your life (sounds a bit cliche but very true!) and want to share your life with the One.
you're asking for practical reasons and i too had the same baby timing concerns...to which i've started to question why is 30 the definitive age for health problems to pop up when women all over are really quite different...
i'm hitting 30 real soon...got married at your ideal age of 27...hubby was 29 then...so eh...ideal or not ah? ok for me lor
my pt is wat's ok for me and everyone else is not always best for you...plan your own life and schedule and dun let others dictate your life...of cos must be mindful of biological clock

I think the ideal age for gals to get married is 26 so that you can have two years of 'the world of two' and start planning for a baby at 28 which fulfil the idea of having the 1st child before 30.

IF YOU ARE IN THE TEEN AGE WHEN YOU GET THE FIRST MENSES THAT IS THE PUBERTY NATURE HAD BLESSED YOU WITH ALL THE QUALITIES OF A WOMEN. SO ALSO THE BOYS GET THEIR MOUSTACHE ON THEIR FACE THEY ARE ALSO READY .
BUT THE SOCIAL STATUS OF A GIRL AND A BOY IS THE CRITERIA TO MARRY NOT THE AGE.
FOR INSTANCE AS PER YOUR WORD THE GUY IS 29 AND HE HAD STUDIED NOTHING NO JOB AND A LAZY FELLOW NO AMBITION IN LIFE EITHER TO STUDY WORK OR LIVE WHAT IS THE USE OF MARRYING SUCH SORTS OF A MAN. BETTER REMAIN AS A SPINSTER.
IF THE BOY IS AN ENGINEER AND GETTING A HANDFUL OF SALARY WITHOUT ANY VICES AND GOOD HABITS THEN VERY WELL YOU CAN CONSIDER HIM TO BE THE BEST FOR MARRIAGE.
HENCE THE AGE ALONE IS NOT THE CRITERIA FOR MARRIAGE. PLEASE NOTE.

I got married when I was 26 and had a my only baby at 27 and I wouldn't change anything about that. I was old enough to not feel like I missed out on anything and old enough to be able to maturely handle things that I wouldn't have been able to deal with at 21, 23, or 25. I think that if you take care of yourself, eat healthy, stay active, and don't abuse your body it isn't far-fetched to imagine having a baby at 35 or even 40. You just can't abuse your body for years and years and then expect it to perform at this level later...

hi how are you i am 24 years old maybe like you.
i have a girl i am more than mad about her or more than crazy about her and more than love her,,,, and we togother from 3 years ago and we have a wonderfull live between us,
but we think that the best time to married on 27 to 30 no more no less, because in these age you are not too old and not too young so you can decide to find your partner how can spend the rest of your live

marriage at any age has positives and negatives, i don't think it matters as long as you both are completely happy with each other and ready to settle down,
where it does matter is when the children come along,, if there was any weakness in your marriage or immaturity kids can be very problematic and very expensive,, your lifestyle will change dramatically and some people can not hack this,, through experience (5 kids) i feel i was a much better father with my last kid(3yrs)and I'm now 45,, good luck and happy marriage xx

I think a good age to get married is about 24. But I also think it depends on your mental status and fincial status. When you get married it is a good idea not to have children for a least two years. This allows you and your partner to get to know one another as a married couple.

Actually getting married and having kids are 2 seperate things. You can get married early and have kids late (or vice versa if you're open minded about it). I think they normally advocate having your first kid before 30 so that there are less complications.

Its all depends on you to when gets married.........
But for gal its before 28 and for guy its before 32 :)
