I am concerned that my ex-husband may be watching my internet activities, such as reading my emails, reading my instant message conversations, reading posts I've made to private forums, etc. I know it's not like he logs on with my usernames, but his knowledge seems to be something like he's reading everything over my shoulder.
Is there some kind of thing he could have installed on my computer, to take like screenshots or something and have them sent to his computer? And if so, how would I find this program to eradicate it?

There are a number of commercially available programs that can do this kind of activity without your knowledge. One of them is the Nice logger that is used frequently in the industry for monitoring compter usage at offices. However, these programs are quite costly and I doubt if one of them would be being used.
There are other, easier ways to determine what someone is doing on their computer. The best way to eradicate this problem is to have a good firewall and an anti spyware such as 'Adaware' installed and keep your system free of key loggers. You can download adaware for free at www.lavasoft.com. Another important factor would be the other person's knowledge of computers and technology and the kind of access he has to your computer. If you guys are sharing a machine then you might need to clean up history files every time you log off the internet. In case, you suspect that he is accessing your computer but he is at a remote location, then the firewall and antispyware should be able to take care of the problem.

Yes, proffessional hackers can penetrate other people's PCs. Formatting the drive you have Windows installed on & reinstalling it will help you. Remember to use powerful antivirus & firewalls then. I recommend "Kaspersky Anti-virus Personal" & "Agnitum Outpost Firewall". These two are really perfect; much much better than other programs such as Norton or McAfee.

Yes! it is possible, why b/cos the PC is connected to the Internet, and with my Net Work places he can access all your document.
Second, One can type in your ID and click on forget password with the information he/she knows about you, he/she will break in to your mail box.
Either you carelessly write your password some where and He some how come across it or He used another ID to write to you regarding what He is suspecting you are going.
I suggest you change all your Internet activities information.

yahoo antispy might detect it if he has a keylogger installed. I am cunfused here tho, why would your ex have access? Not that its my business. Keyloggers come in a wide variety! Some will log your keystrokes, others will take snapshots of your screen. If he has one installed you can bet he has every and all logon names and passwords. If it concerns you you can always set up an administrator password and keep him from using it at all.

It is possible . Try logging in from some other machine. Avoid using your regular computer. Also you can change your password and user names. For checking and removing any malicious software installed on your machine you will need a professional / security expert.
