Americans for the most part like the Iraqi's. It is the terrorist insurgents and the hangers on to the old regime we don't like. In the words of Thomas Jefferson, all men are created equal and are endowed by their creator with certain inalienable rights. Sometimes you just have to stand up and fight for those rights. The Iraqi people are just starting to get a chance to fight for their own rights now. If you are an Iraqi, be proud, vote and support your new free and open Representative Republic. It may not be perfect, but it beats the hell out of tyranny.

Iraq has alot of oil. Bush and the other boys like that. Why not come up with a big story, run some of our own empty planes into some important buildings, fly a misile into the Pentagon, piss off the world, blame it on a country with alot of oil then get public concent to go kick their tails.
Sounds crazy enough to be true. Watch "The Oil Factor" on FSTV

I recently spent 18 months in IRAQ working as a civilian contractor. My duties allowed me to travel to several regions of the company. I had the opportunity to meet and speak with Iraqi's in Baghdad, Taji, Mosul, Tikrit, Najaf, Mahmudiyh, Basrah, Kirkuk, Al Qaim, Ar Ramadi and Babalyon.
The people were polite, friendly, considerate and exteremly interested in America and the American people. When I meet these people there were many, many times when they offered me tea and to share their meager meals. The general hospitality offered is an aspect of their culture and a feature not commonly found in our western culture. One of the Iraqi families I meet and developed a friendship worked on Camp Liberty outside of Baghdad. When the 1st elections were being held, the majority of Iraqi's who worked on the military base went into hiding in fear for their lives until the election was over. The husband and wife of the family I mentioned refused to be intimidated and continued to drive on to the base during the election period. Two days before the election, as they were leaving the base for the day, their car was ambushed by 3 insurgents with AK-47 assult rifles. The husband covered his wife with his body and was riddled with bullets killing him. His wife survived and went into hiding with her children. A week later, she returned to base to close her shop and moved to another city in Iraq. This is the quality of most of the Iraqi's I met.
Most of us over there figured that 98% of the Iraqi's are just like you and me. They want to live and work in peace, take care of their family and be allowed to practice their religion. It is the other 2% that create the turmoil. Unfortunately there isn't anyway to tell the difference. We, the civilians, had a saying. You can trust the locals as long as you can see them. It isn't very nice and perhaps cynical, but that is the reality.
Oddly enough, I am making efforts to secure a new job / contract to return to Iraq.
How does the average American feel about the Iraqi's? I'm not sure but I imagine they have strong opinions about the 2% I mentioned.

They are fine brave people & we are happy to be helping them. It's unfortunate that there are still evil terrorists & criminals there forcing us to stay. As soon as they can be eliminated or controlled we'll be happy to leave & watch from outside as the Iraqi people continue to build a strong new democracy. We look forward to being their friends for many years to come.

a lot of negative things has been said about the Iraqi people in general. lets put things in perspective here . we are exposed to the western media. imagine how people who watch news from their stations like Aljazeera Network think about Americans, British & other Europeans.

That they are cowards, we should have never gone into that country. They should have done for themselves what we did for them...
If everyone in that country died tonight, I would not lose any sleep over it. They would rather live on their knees than die on their feet.
