Yeah, I forgot. This is based on nothing, except for the success of the mass media in shaping the views and thoughts of almost all Americans!!!

Its not only americans that are gullible. People are sheep everywhere on this planet, every country. And its not only the poor and uneducated. Its the so called intellectual elitists. The celebs. Hollywood. Our college professors fell into that thinking while drug induced back in the 70s.

Whats really bad is the press believe what they are reporting. The Democrat politicians believe what they preach. The ACLU believes it is an honest organization looking out for the civil liberties of "ALL" americans. Yeah right.

All of the great world powers rose to glory, and fell like a 10 ton sack of turds. The USA will do the same, unfortunately, someday. Hopefully not soon, but we're headed that way. The problem is that life becomes too easy for us, to comfortable. We become spoiled. We become rotten. We forget how we became strong, we forget how many men died making america great. We become complacent and non-chalant about life and freedom. We begin to give up rights in the name of safety. We begin to blame ourselves for all the evils in the world. We elect leaders only to throw rotten eggs and tomatoes at them in the full view of the world public. We show our asses to the world and call it freedom of speech. We wallow in our infanticide, homosexuality, and distain for all things moral, including religion, and think ourselves as holier than thou for it. We are human, there is no god greater than me!!!!

Yes, Americans are gullible, but not all of us. Some have studied history and strive not to make those same mistakes again. While others go to college to party, get drunk, get laid, and have a diploma given to them while learning absolutely nothing. Michael Savage is right about one thing, the enemy is truly within.

I personally don't dislike like Muslims. I don't agree with some of their religious beliefs but they aren't as extreme as the Islamic religion. I think a big reason for American's fear is the unknown. Not to mention that Christians seems to think that their religion is above any other. I think a lot of times the Muslim religion is confused with the Islamic one as you stated. Unfair for the Muslims. Media coverage is insane and stupid in America. Especially Fox news. Anyone who watches it and expects actual truthful information are in for a sad shock. I agreed with Michael Moore's views when he talked about this in his documentary movie. Our news do try to scare us. And I know our government and military have killed a lot of other people throughout history. But what country hasn't in an attempt for their own personal gain or to help others? Doesn't always make it right, I know. As for the 9/11 attack, I know it is unfair and wrong for us to think we are any more special than any other country, but this kind of thing doesn't happen in our country. When this happened, it was a shock to our system, to our innocent beliefs, to our security we have always felt. In one moment, it was completely taken away. And by religious extremists who can't explain their cause without killing others. We know about bombings and martyrs in other countries. I can't imagine living each day wondering if I may die just walking down the street or in a cafe. I hope it does get easier someday for Muslims. Our own president is a Muslim. I would hope that would help open some eyes. But who knows.

Probably most of those whom you are referring to are those that have been dumbed by the system. Look at the idiotic nonsense in the television programming and the movies. So may of today's shows are really stupid and have very little point. I personally believe that these things are actually attributing to making people blind to a lot of what is going on in the real world around them. So many people stay home and watch these shows to which they are addicted, and hardly get out and experience things in the real world. Because of their addiction to the television, they have come to trust what they hear on it, and as a result, well look around at how this country is today.

Americans are no more gullible than anyone else. Sweeping generalizations however are a good indicator of ignorance.

That is what we are taught to believe from a very young age. Before we become old enough to make up our own minds about things we are taught to accept everything that we are told.
