In most states you can look up the state and department of corrections. I haven't tried, but I think you could type in Iowa Department of Corrections and it would give you an offender lookup where you can put their name in and it will tell you why they are in there, when they were incarcerated and their predicted parole date. yes if you call the county jails or prisons just give their names or look in the Yellow Book for the local jails/prison..good luck!!
