do they really want to help or just show off a sort of knowledge or prestige so that the readers can applaud them

I personally like to help others...if i don't no something, i will spend the time to look it up to help out a friend in need!!!

Great question. There is a reward for answering questions and some people say most anything just to get the points --- now every so often these same people happen upon a question that is right up there alley and then they will take the time to go into deph with a good answer....other people also want the points but will try to put some time and thought into most of their answers. (also some questions are so ridiculous that they're not worthy of anything but a word or two).... however on most questions there's usually a few posts with wisdom --- otherwise not many people would hang around here...but they are here so it must be working.

I try to help and give the information I have. but som e people ask some foolish questions here then I try to be fooler than them in answering their question.
But I realy want to help and want others to realy help when I have a question.

Sometimes I'm just trying to mess with people. Or I think of something funny and I hope someone will be amused by it.
Other times I get up on my soap box.

I don't give a rat's earlobe about "prestige." I answer questions when I can to offer assistance. I hope that when I ask questions myself, there is someone who can and will answer them!

I think people do both.Some want to genuinely help, others like to show off. I try to help.

Actually, yes sometimes i do like to help people...and other times..make people realize there is a thing such as common sense.

it all depends on ur mentality, how u take it. u can take it as a help n also as show-off!
