No it means giving them another chance but never forgetting the mistake. If they do it again you know they haven't learned then you dump that person. Its not worth forgiving again.

no. forgiveness is simply, accepting that something has happened and restoring trust that it was a mistake, the person is sorry for doing it and it can't be undone and moving on, it doesn't mean that you forget, some things you can't ever forget.

Forgive means to pardon the person for his guilt with grace, knowingly.
Forgetting means its the time factor involved. We may forget the person's deeds, but not conciously, but because of time lapse or other factors getting priority.
For -give is not equal to for-get.One is the concious choice, the other is what we get to forget, without our knowledge.

No. But if you do forgive someone you must completely forgive them. If they have wronged you in some way and you have forgiven them, you may not forget it but you cannot remind them of it at your liesure. That isn't forgiveness, its selfishness.

Jesus says to forgive others as we have been forgiven. But the blood of Jesus doenn't give you amnesia. Forgiving isn't letting others off the hook, it is for ourselves for when we forgive we are at peace and can heal.

No it doesn't. Forgiving someone is hard, however, forgetting what they've done or said is even harder. Although, if you've forgiven someone, it's best not to raise the matter again, no matter if you've forgotten it or not. Trust me, I know from experience that you shouldn't bring it up again...disastrous consequences.
