What would you do? Would you abort a set of twins knowing one was destined to be Hitler, or save them knowing the other was destined to be Christ?

I would be grateful to those who do not have a genuine and thoughtful answer to the question would refrain from simply leaving a snide comment to cheat two points out of the system.

Yes, I know in the last comment the first "to" should be "if".

To Lord Z, because he leaves no way to deliver a message privately...
My question is not one meant to indicate my beliefs, but simply ask what others would do.
For those who must know, as you seem to, approximately fifty fetuses per year survive an abortions performed to terminate their existence. In 1974, I was one of them. I know this because my mother was kind enough to give me the medical records as a Christmas present when I was ten As I am currently involved in living the reality others dismiss as mere unfocused potential which has no "true reality", I find validity in asking the question should the "unfocused potential" be quantified and made known to those given the power to choose when both diametrically opposed destinies are revealed to them.
I would like to invite you to revisit your answer in light of this, and know I don't ask wanting my own point of view reflected toward me, but to genuinely learn more about the hearts and minds of others.

I know the previous comment should either read "an abortion", or "abortions". It was a typo.

It seems as if the answering has come to an end, so I must award a best answer. My thanks to all those who answered, and my apologies if I did not choose your answer as "best", but please understand if I didn't, I'm not snubbing you because I don't agree, because I'm prejudiced against you, or because I'm just being a jerk obviously picking an inferior answer. If I didn't pick your answer, it was because, upon genuine reflection, I felt it didn't answer the question as aptly as the one I picked. You are, of course, welcome to ask me privately why I decided the way I did.
Hopefully, though, everyone is satisfied to know such questions are highly subjective and that any attempt to consider what I asked and answer the question was a good one.

They would both be saved.
Destinies and predictions aside, Hitler didn't act alone-- masses of insane people carried out his campaign of brainwashing that some theologians have suggested had to occur here in this plane in order for this lesson to occur, even though similar situations STILL occur worldwide on a smaller scale.

So, you are okay with abortions so long as you know the outcome is bad for the world?
And, you are okay with forced pregnancies so long as the outcome is good for the world?
Interesting.
And where do we get this sage wisdom from? I don't think you can find it in a sonagram. No little mustache, no crown of thorns.
So where does this come from?
You are asking people to make a life or death decision based on speculation. That is hard enough to do when you are talking about crack babies, or babies with obvious birth defects. You want people to kill in theory. That is bad.
What's more, Hitler was a product of his time. He wasn't born a dictator. He rose to dictator status, like Caesar. or Napoleon. He wasn't born to it like Alexander.
Christ, assuming you mean Jesus, is a product of any time. He rose to know power. His messages are timeless, as relevant today as ever.
The too men are not opposites, nor are they equals. They are just memorable.
On the off shot that you believe in reincarnation, neither is likely to reach people in the same manner as before.
On the chance that you are a Christian, you shouldn't even be thinking about killing.
On the chance that you are a Satanist, you would probably save the earlier and kill the latter.
On the chance that you are an agnostic, you shouldn't care.
On the chance that you are Jewish, it's a crap shoot.
Any way you slice it, it is murder, guised as an abortion. you have thought it out and you are killing the person(s) you are afraid of. You are not killing a fetus. You are killing what you imagine that fetus will grow into. It is not the same thing. At least in not knowing who or what your child will grow into you have the illusion of having no malice. That simply isn't the case here.
Think Andrea Yates.
If she had aborted all five of er children that would have been legal. Instead, she killed all five of her children. The jury saw that as unforgiveable. Of course, she is claiming insanity. Hmmm.
And what about destiny?
Is there no room for free will in tis question?
Christ could build furniture. Hitler could paint for a living. Who know's?
As for me, it is not witin my power to abort, so te question is mute.

Love seeing questions like this.
The answer is let the twins live.
Why? Your question assumes the concept of pre-destiny which is not supported by any of the evidence relating to the function or structure of the universe- that is that objects shall be in a certain place at a certain time in space at some point in the future.
Everything in the collected knowledge of humanity points to uncertainty and infinite possibilities being the state of the universe. If you can prove otherwise, I am willing to revise my answer.
Therefore, your twins might just as likely turn out to be bus drivers as the saviour and anti-christ.

It is typical to see someone just *assume* that "Christ" (Jesus of Nazareth, if he has ever existed) has a higher value than Hitler. From the perspective of a Nietzschian like me that is laughable: the type of man that would not be disgusting to Nietzsche would be a hundred times more like Cesare Borgia than like "Christ". Ironically, the portrait of Cesare Borgia is likely to have been often used as a basis for portraits of "Christ" in Borgia's times. Likewise, I have been convinced - by strong *evidence*, not by "faith" - that the historical Jesus was really Julius Caesar (see Francesco Carotta, "Jesus Was Caesar"). Hitler the twin brother of Julius Caesar? Interesting.

Don't we already play god everyday; or is it the other way around? ...Anyway, whatever the case may be, the FACT of the matter remains that: There have been more people killed in the name of Christ and religion that even Hitler managed to annihilate, BTW. So, let's not be so quick with the gun here.

I would save them and raise them as equals. Loving and loyal to them both, hoping that it is nurture rather nature that is the final deciding quality that determines their future actions. And if they turn out to a predestined fate then so be it. I have done as my heart and conscience has dictated

Let them be born, you can't truly predict what would happen otherwise. It is the old "if I had not gone that route I would not have stepped on dog ****"... yet someone who took the other route got killed by a bus!

Let them live. As evil as Hitler was, he was eventually defeated. The loss of Christ would bring doom upon us all.
