I have never heard of a language called Indian. If on the other hand you are after the languages spoken in India there are quite a few possibilities. There are about a dozen official languages (major) and thousands of dialects spoken by the billion people living in India. The major ones are Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Gujarathi, Bengali, Sanskrit, Kannada, Telugu, Marathi, Orissi, Kashmiri, Punjabi, Urdu, etc. The best way to pick up one of these tongues would be to buy yourself an English-vernacular guide and also befriend a native speaker. Or watch a few movies with subtitles to start with and in a matter of a few months you will be able to manage reasonably well.

Do you mean one of the Native North American languages, or one of the languages of the sub-continent of India, as there are hundreds, maybe thousands of languages and dialects. For example, Native N/A there are Apache, Navajo, Cree, Blackfoot, Haida, etc. From the sub-continent of India you have for example, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, etc. You must be more specific as there is no language known just as Indian.

uh, rethink that question, and repost it. It doesnt make sense! If you are speaking about people from India, there are several different languages spoken in India. If you are speaking about native Americans, they also speak different languages according to their tribes.
