I had a buddy with the same problem. All the treatments he tried didn't seem to work. Then, one summer we spent most of our time at the lake waterskiing. He got burned a few times, but by the end of the summer he was tan and had no more acne! I don't know if it works for everyone, but it sure worked for him! Be careful if you try this, though, cause too much sun can be a bad thing. No life on the surface of the planet would exist without it, though!

Do you do any heavy phsical activies? Weight lifting? work in place that require you move aroud a lot or lift heavy things? Run a lot?
If so you need to shower right after those activity so the bacteria doesn't get stuck in the pore.
If you don't do those, do you wear same shirt without washing it?
If you wear clean shirt everyday, try wear a wifebeater under shirt and change the wife beater twice or three time a day.
also when doing laundry, you may want to use brush to scrub back of your shirt.
Other advice that seem to work like miracle is when you're in shower. Once you're almost done, turn hot water completely off and let cold water run over you for about a min to 3 min. Don't worry you will adjust to it after 2 or 3 weeks.

When I was younger I had a very bad problem with acne on my back. I exposed my back out in the sun and all the acne went away. The acne has never been back since. Good Luck!

Switch to a non perfumey shower soap. Have you tried Calydryl. Pink plastic bottle lotion. I am not talking Calgon. Maybe a few dabs of Witch Hazel (clear plastic bottle) or Benzoyl Peroxide (in clear or brown plastic bottle). Phisoderm on the backside during wash (green plastic bottle.)
Switch away from perfumey laundry detergents, and dryer sheets. Try All in no dye/no perfurme/no color added. Bounce has dryer sheets that are non perfumed.

I have the same problem. After bathing, I would use the Clinique Anti-blemish spray (easy application for back) and wait a few minutes before putting on some talcum powder to keep my back dry. It has been working for me. Do give it a try!

Try sunbathing or going on the sunbed, it sounds daft but the heat makes your body sweat out all the bacteria in your back causing the spots, so they will eventually clear up! :)

A product called Witch Hazel works wonders on pimples. And it doesn't sting or dry up your skin.

The scientific term is "back-ne."
See a dermatologist. My friend had this problem and the doc gave him some pills that helped clear it up.
