Lol such a flawed question. Watch Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter separately but this time remember the titles. You will realize that Gandalf rides shadowfax the white horse in LOTR, and that Dumbledore, one of the greatest wizards ever has a Phoenix named Fawkes which is his pet and companion.

Don't remember any phoenix in LOTR; as for Gandalf's pet, there was only Shadowfax, his horse. Dumbledore in Harry Potter has a phoenix called Fawkes, which has been in his family for a long time.

Don't remember anything about a phoenix in Lord of the Rings...!
He was friends with the giant Eagles though! And there was a small bird that could talk to the dwarfs, and - of course - his pal Shadowfax..! Of course, it's nearly a year since I last read the series, but I really can't recall a phoenix!
