You just have to be yourself. Have normal conversations and get to know eachother a bit. If he doesn't like you for who you are then he is not worth it.

The first step is just talking to him.

Good luck.

Agree with everything he says-and do what he asks you to do, but that doesn't mean that he really likes you; you just may be convenient for his needs-now, you don't want to be a puppet on a string do you? There's scripture that says "to have friends, you must first show yourself friendly"--if you have to try to get him to like you, most likely he doesn't, and why would you want an involment such as that? Be patient, and you will know the joy and pleasure of truly being liked and ultimately, loved--Ask all the tyrants of thy sex, if their fools are not known by this party-coloured livery--I am melancholy when thou art absent; look like an *** when thou art present; wake for thee, when I should sleep, and even dream of thee when I am awake; sigh much, drink little, eat less, court solitude, am grown very entertaining to my self, and (as I am informed) very troublesome to everybody else. If this be not love, it is madness, and then it is pardonable--Nay yet a more certain sign than all this; he'll give thee his money-and eternity shall be in that pleasurable moment. And now you may ask in your heart "How shall we distinguish that which is good in pleasure from that which is not good?" Go to your fields and your gardens and you shall learn that it is the pleasure of the bee to gather honey of the flower, but it is also the pleasure of the flower to yield its honey to the bee. For, to the bee, a flower is a fountain of life, and to the flower, the bee is a messenger of love. And to both, bee and flower, the giving and receiving of pleasure is a need and an ecstasy

From a guy's perspective: you should get to know him first, and then share your feelings - guys aren't good at second guessing so a little sharing will go a long way.
