not sure what the local laws are there, I live in NY and here the legal age is 17. I was 13 and my boyfriend was 20. Even if you are having sex if the parent approves or at least isn't saying anything about it then it shouldn't be a problem. there is no law againt friendships so therefore someone would have to prove you were sleeping together. I ended marrying the boyfriend. we dated off and on since I was 13 I am 24 now. we been married for 4 years. alot of people think guys that go for young girls are pervs, while some very well may be sometimes it turns out to be real love and love has no age limit. age is nothing bbut a number that society uses to judge and stero type. its all in how mature you act. hope this answered your question.

It's not against the law but it does make your choices for places to go and things to do limited. If she is the one who is 16, and if her parents aren't cool with her dating a 25 year old, they could call the cops and say they think you're poking her and you could be arrested. You'd then have to go through the system and no matter if you did or didn't, you'd have to answer a lot of embarrassing questions while in custody. My point is, just because it's legal, doesn't make it a good idea. Personally I say more power to you but just be careful.

16 Huh! As long as yall not having sex its cool cuz theres no law for people who dating and not having sex. If yall did have sex it probably be complicated cuz in the state of Georgia their Sex laws are messed up & twisted a 14 & 15 year old can go to jail for having sex with each other.
But i think he would have to be 6 years older than u to have sex with u. Just don't get the temptation to have sex with him till u turn 18 foreal.

Wikepedia list the age of consent in georgia at 16 if correct whether or not you are having sex it is legal but you should verify this to be sure...but age of consent usualy refers to the age a person can legaly consent to sex dating would shouldnt be illegal anywhere where sex is not involved but be safe and find out for sure of the laws in your state.

i don't mean no harm beloved, but sex or not, a 25 year old man hanging around my 16 year old daughter WOULD raise my eybrow, to say the least. he would HAVE to tell me some things.
him & i would have to have a serious sit down. i would need to know what's on his mind & why is it he can't find someone of legal age to date...legal meaning old enough to drink, drive, vote & buy cigarettes - LEGAL.
if & only IF his answers satisfy me (& seriously, i doubt that they would) you two would HAVE to be chaperoned every time you all were in the presence of each other - don't even test me by sneaking off to be with each other - there would be HELL to pay, believe me!
i don' t know, beloved. i ain't feelin' it at all. sounds suspect. if you were my daughter - damn the LAW. you would have to worry about me & your daddy. seriously.

You are a minor, he is an adult and is almost 10yrs older than you are. I would say it's probably illegal. If you wanted to know the law you can always call your local police station and ask. If your parents are ok with the relationship and consent to you seeing him then it's ok, but if not they could probably have charges brought against him.
