No, it's because they are all too busy moaning, whining, falling in love, breaking up, falling in love again, moaning, whining, becoming lesbians, going straight, selling apples and rubbish clothing, moaning, whining and boozing - which leaves precious little time to spend washing their smalls. Pauline is the exception, She manages to fit everyone's washing in along side a huge amount of moaning and whining. It's very impressive.

I live in the East End of London, and everyone I know owns a washing machine, even though we have a local launderette, I suppose if Peggy Mitchell, The Slaters etc owned there own, we wouldn't have a show, it would be like everyone buying their booze from an offy and not going to the Queen Vic - Its called artistic licence

I think that the Slater family has a washing machine but they still go to the launderette to have a moan to pauline mind you with a face like hers you would want to moan

I think the launderette is definitely the answer here. But I'm still concerned about the fact that the Brady Bunch didn't have any toilets in their bathrooms.

If they had their own machines Pauline and Dot would be out of a job and there would be nowhere for anyone to have deep and meaningful conversations, nowhere to say sorry and they do that a lot.

because there is a laundrette . and if they all brought washing machines then pauline and dot would be out of a job and would have to go to the job center and sign on the dole and then us the tax payer would suffer even more . don't you now nothing.

I've always wondered that, and why do none of them have a job in the city or in an office that requires them to actually leave the square at some point and venture into the real world!

There is no need, people can either do the laundry with their hands or take their clothes to the daunderette since they can afford.
