SNOWBOARDING!!!!!

skiing is fricken gay

if you fall all your skis pop off and you drop ur poles and then you have to climb halfway up and down the hill to get your stuff, and you have to try getting your feet in on a 60 degree slope withch is pretty hard

if u fall on snowboard you just roll over and stand up

i used to ski but now i snowboard

this winter i crashed off a huge jump and broke my hip and femur if i had been on skis i prolly would have broken my neck too.

so snowboarding is better

Oh man, skiing! For the guy that said snowboarding is more graceful, have you ever seen a snowboarder try to go fast? Skiers are so much more graceful. Over the centuries, we have learned the best ways to move down the mountain. The way the simple shift in weight creates a long, swooping curve is spectacular. I think there is nothing more beautiful in the world than to see a skier flying down a mountain. Skiing satisfies all need for speed I have. When my own body is generating the top speeds that I fly at, it is so satisfying. I think it is sad to compare the two and say that snowboarding is more of a sport than skiing. You must have never seen the kind of racing that I compete in!

If the only thing you enjoy is the terrain park, be my guest, snowboard all you want. But just keep yourself off my mountain, because the majority of snowboarders cannot handle what I take on every day. Go play in your little terrain park and leave the challenging slopes to the skiers!

My preference is and always will be snowboarding. I skied before I started snowboarding but my first day of snowboarding ever (which any snowboarder will know is hell), i KNEW that i would love it over skiing.

To be fair, skiing has its advantages:

1. It's a lot easier. On my first day of skiing I was already going on blues whereas it took me a lot longer on snowboard.

2. Legs don't tire as easily.

3. Strapping in is a pain just cause I'm lazy.

4. Gefting off the lift is way easier. Even though I've been boarding for years, I still fall occasionally getting off the lift. Plus skiers don't have to stop and strap in.

5. Getting stuck on flat areas or losing momentum sucks if youre on a snowboard. On skis, it's easier to get going again.

I can't explain why I enjoy snowboarding more, it's hard to. I guess I enjoy the challenge and it was extremely difficult at the beginning. One of those sports where you will NOT be good right away and that's where a lot of people give up. Since I kept at it, I take a lot of pride in how good I've become.

Definitely snowboarding. Less equipment to lug around, and being able to wear comfortable boots is a plus. As well, the thought of sliding down a hill on a board seems more like a sport than sliding down a hill on two narrow planks, with poles in your hands. With snowboarding you can do more tricks, and they look more graceful than those done on skis. A one-piece item to use on snow is just so much cooler than having all those components, and it makes the ride seem less mechanical. We want a sophisticated ride, with a simple device, and that is snowboarding. The only thing I don't like about snowboarding is that safety technicians have decided against trying to design a binding that releases like skis, at least for the time being. Wipeouts on a snowboard are just chaotic for me! Nonetheless, still better than skiing...

I started skiing when i was 12, then when i was about 16 I started snowboarding and will never go back. i live no where near the mountains, but have bought all my own gear and make trips as often as possible. The boots are so much more comfortable also. Once you snowboard most people will never go back to skiing.

For the person who said snowboarding is more graceful. Its not. Skiing all the way. Snowboarders and slow sluggish and are not in control. They also sit right in front of you, causing you to make a miracle save bye going around them on 1 ski. I have snowboarders slam into me and tell me to watch it. i'm not slow either. i'm on the Sqauw Valley Race Team. Yes snowboarders do get more air but don't have as many tricks and go on terrain courses cuz they can't go anywhere else. Thusly shown
SKIING IS WAYYYY BETTER

Depends on you.

Personally i would say i'm a reasonably competent skier and love it. I tried snowboarding for the first time last winter and was going down red runs (very shakily) in my first afternoon.

Love skiing but definately want to do some more snowboarding.

I am a hard-core skier. I love skiing, and I live for it in the winter. Its the greatest adrenaline rush, yet i would have to say that I love skiing with skiers just as much as snowboarders. Most of my friends are boarders so its all good. As long as your having a great time, chillen, and having a good laugh it doesnt matter. No Worries.

ski biking!!!!

look it up, its some pretty intense stuff

if you dont wanna ski bike, then ski.
you can go on the terrain park and impress more people because they think you cant do tricks on skis. You can also bomb down the double diamonds while all those snowboarders are sitting on their butts (like they do every 20 feet, believe me, i'm not exagerating).
you can skate around while snowboarders have to take a foot out of their stupid bindings and twist around their ankles to walk like retards.
trust me, and all of my fellow skiers, skiing is the only way to go
