Yes,it can.
For some women ,it can last for as much as a whole week before their period.
I find that knowing what's happening and preparing for it really helps. Also getting lots of sleep during this time stabilises your serotonin levels better and lessens your symptoms.
No wonder it's called ''The Curse''.

Energy loss is usually during the mentruation more often that before. Mood swings from ecstacy to futile depression are common before symptoms of PMS.... women thus need to learn more about emotion management to lead a normal life.

PMS can affect women in loads of ways, personally I feel like I'm going to cry no matter what I'm doing, I hurt a lot and I just don't want to do anything!

The best cure and I've tried this for myself and it worked for me is to do some exercise during PMS and your period cause it really helps

PMS requires a lot of adjustments. You have to get guidance from councelling. You can lead a happy and vigourous life..PMS is not end but beginning..Donot withdraw from life.Jump into real life and add colour to life.I have seen many people happy at PMS. It is your determination and activity that makes you happy or depressed, not PMS.Good Luck.Be positive.

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Most women experience these symptoms just before their period. You could try Evening Primrose Oil, as many women find this helps. Or it might be an idea to visit a good nutritionist to ensure that you're eating properly, as a poor diet full of junk food can aggravate the symptoms.

Heck yeah. I have an "emotional day" every month in which I think no one loves me and the world is a depressing place and anything anyone says to me becomes a personal insult.
Then I remember it's my "emotional day" and I go and hide someplace until it's ove.

Hell yes! I've just put my beloved through a weekend of suffering my mood swings and paranoia. Even with help from GP and councelling it's still really challenging and I feel so guilty for my behaviour afterwards.
