No its not under warranty any more, & i aint any tech to solve this.It sure that its a loose connection with the ethernet card,do u guys think i could just open it and fix the network card again, in its proper place?? I am also travelling at the moment dont have any tech support. But you see it is working well at the moment, but only if i dont shake my notebook, i have to keep it still.

If you have a Dell Inspiron 6000, call Dell, because it's probably still under warranty. Even if it's not, call them anyway, because there are certain things that are still covered, and this could be a manufacturing defect. Dell has been super at helping me with my Inspiron 6000!!! Go to My Programs, and go to the Dell folder. It has the phone number there to call them...and INSIST on a tier two person, because the idiots from India can't help you. If you keep getting a person from India, call back. You'll probably get someone in Canada, who will be able to help you AND can speak proper English!!!

Try late_sleeper's solution FIRST. If that doesn't help -
If you are a laptop repair technician, and the unit is NOT under warranty, I suggest you wipe a liquid solder flux across the pins of the socket the network device is in, and touch up ALL the connections on the connector with a 60/40 thin solder. Turn your temp up a little higher than usual on your iron. Be careful of bridging - Inspect with a magnifier or microscope if available.
The connector is 124 pin mini-PCI I believe
It should only take about 5 minutes if you are skilled.

It's a recent laptop so it should still be under warranty. DO NOT OPEN IT. Unless you know what you are doing. What you're describing seems to be a hardware problem so if their technical support can't help you take your laptop to a certified technician.
