Is there any way to tell where an e-mail originated from?

I want to know where an e-mail I received from a Yahoo account was sent from.

It's damn simple. Just opt for "Full-Headers" rather than "Brief-Headers". Originating IP address will be disclosed to you automatically.

Yes; adjust your mail settings to show the "header" information. Then Google "how to read header"
