I'm wondering which is better becasue I'm not sure whether one will effect the other. Will my social security number change? Thanks for the help.

YOu should inform all relevant organisations of the change by submitting the Deed Poll. The ss number will not change.

Social Security first. Drivers licence center will ask for your social security card as source of identification when making changes.

I've been married almost 4 years. I changed my drivers license immediately for identification. Now that you mention it, I still haven't changed my social security card. I guess I do need to do that. Your social security number won't change though.
