Yes, there is a possibility that blood pressure pills can hurt an unborn baby, but if your doctor perscribed them know that you are pregnant, then he must think that the risks or the pill out weigh the consequences of not taking the pill, because high blood pressure can also harm your baby.

I think you should make an appointment with your doctor right away to get tested for pregnancy. But I know there's probably not an available appointment for at least a week so you should take a home pregnancy test. Those are pretty accurate. And if it's positive, confirm it with your doctor, then stop the pills, and don't worry. I was on the pill and got pregnant and didn't know it until I was 13 weeks along, and my baby girl turned out just fine. She's now 3 and just started preschool and just growing up so fast. yea it causes birth defects and why arent you asking your doctor and who are you getting your pills from because unless your doctor is a quack then he wouldnt give them to you.
