My career interest and aptitude tests suggest that I am suited for such a lifepath, but I have my doubts.

kris: there's a difference between a mystic and a fortune teller. I'm not implying that I want to give people psychic readings.

Try psychology. Most of the skills are the same, but you have real techniques for understanding people, and guiding them to healthy plans of action.

Most mystics, psychics, mediums, and the like have no real mystical power, just an ability to "read" people and say the right thing. I think they are better off just admitting their wonderful abilities are not supernatural, rather than tricking the world into thinking they are miracle workers.

If you are asking that question here, I would'nt pay you to answer harder questions....

Mystics are not well paid, and usually end up in cheap locales where they try to ply their trade. You don't see them on Saks.... They live poorly.
