how long have you been depressed? if more than 2 weeks, then you are clinically depressed and should seek help from a mental health professional. they will evaluate you and recommend a therapist for you. it might take many months or a few months, but a good, licensed therapist will be able to help you work with your depression. you may need to see a psychiatrist or a psychiatric ARNP to try some mild medication. though, you have the option of not taking medication if you do not want to. just talking to the therapist about your depression might be enough. depression is not something that someone can just "snap out of"...to help aleviate depression symptoms, you could try exercising 30-60 minutes a day to get your "good hormones" into your blood system. get outside, try to do enjoyable activities, eat a balanced diet and get plenty of rest. Depression could be a sign of something physical happening as well, so a trip to the doctor might be in order if it isn't helped by a mental health professional.

(1) Look at those less fortunate than you, things you have that they dont, and be grateful to God for those.

(2) Try to do one good deed a day - Helping a blind person cross the street, visitng a church / temple / mosque to pray to God without seeking favours, visiting people in an old age home, visiting the sick at hospital along with some fruits, etc.

(3) Remember God has sent you into this world for a purpose known to Him and be happy in the thought that you are doing as ordained by Him.

Do you have a friend to talk to? When you put the things that are troubling your mind into words, somehow they don't seem so big. You might try writing things out in a journal. It'll surprise you, when you go back and read what you wrote, the different perspective you'll have on the things that trouble you. Find things that lift you up. Flee the things that drag you down. Good Luck.

for whatever your reason of depression, it's just a small tiny moment in yourlife.... there are still so much to look foward to and explore. if you have any favorit sport activity, it is a good time to do them. if not, just try looking up with your arms open and palm up..... jump up and down for about 20 times.... you'll feel much better.... and remember, life sucks but that's what makes it great!... that's why we like all the drama in the movies and tv.
