Aristotle, via Thomas Aquinas. btw: to those folks who replied, "Jesus"...if you have faith in our Christ then you don't want to be calling him a philosopher. Most of the other major world faiths will agree that he was an influential philosopher. But as a philosophizer alone, I don't think he was the most influential on the way we think. It was his action of atoning for our sins, and our acceptance of him as our Savior, that effects the way we think--that allows us to be effected by his words. Thomas Aquinas used Aristotle's philosophy to shape how the Church thought about Christ's life, and also about the concept about the world. He added a lot of interpretation to the Bible that influenced life in the middle ages and still shapes the Western concept of reality today. One of them was that science and religion can be accepted as existing in different arenas. That concept permitted the Church to allow science to put down roots. If Aquinas hadn't done his thing, we would be centuries behind where we are now. We wouldn't be "able" to "think" in the same way we have been.

The deceiver.

Wise up! If Christ had a remarkable effect upon the way we (that means us, all of us, the collective) think, don't you think we would be loving each other and serving each other instead of building a society based on selfishness and greed?

Machiavelli - everyone says his work is amoral, but if you watch some areas of human interaction (most notably politics), you can see his ideas in action.
