You can in chat rooms. Go to chat.yahoo.com

Hi. No you can't! You can only VIEW who's online, by login into your account from home page: www.yahoo.com (notice no www.mail.yahoo.com) and then click on the right-side the Messenger tab... and then will drop down the list with online users (even if they are hiden!). I use this to see who's on my yahoo messenger list and want hide from me. ;)
